Bagels
Sign in with your email to get on court.
You go in a box of players around your level, and play each of them once over the season.
The feed is your club's notice board, with every result, who is playing next and what is on.
Put a court up and see who takes it, whenever suits you. No group chat needed.
At least 6 characters.
Or type the 6-digit code from the email
You are all set. We will email you as soon as you have been put in a box.
Half the league has not played you
yet. A photo makes it easier for them to say yes, and easier to find each other on court.
Position your photo
Passport style: head inside the oval, eyes on the line, shoulders along the bottom. Drag to move, pinch or use the slider to zoom.
Sort the time on WhatsApp?
You’re playing your opponent. Add your mobile and we’ll put a WhatsApp button on the match, with the message already written, so you can agree a time without chasing each other in here.
Only players in your box can see it. You can remove it any time in Me.
More ways to get a game
Bring somebody new into the league
Your own joining link is on the Me tab. Send it to anyone who is not on Bagels yet. Whoever signs up through it shows up against your name.
Nobody waits for a box
Whoever you bring can play friendlies straight away, before an admin has a box for them. They can take a court and put their own up.
Doubles, all the way through
Put a court up for four, people take a place, and the result goes into all four profiles. Mixed, mens or womens.
If you are into your competitive doubles, watch this space…
You are missing things
Half the league has notifications off. That means no word when someone offers you a match, no word when a score goes on the board against you, and no word when your 48 hours to confirm it are running out.
It takes about a minute to fix. Pick your phone.
iPhone: install it first
Apple will not let a website send you anything until it is on your home screen. This is the step everybody misses, and nothing works without it.
Make sure you are in Safari. Not Chrome. Apple only allows this from Safari.
Tap the Share button. The square with an arrow coming out of it, at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
Close Safari and open Bagels from your home screen. The lime ring icon. This bit matters: opening it in Safari again will not work.
Tap Turn on notifications, then Allow.
Needs iOS 16.4 or newer. If you are on something older, Settings, General, Software Update.
You are in Safari now, so the switch cannot be offered here. Do the steps above, then open Bagels from your home screen and this screen will offer it.
Android: two taps
Tap Turn on notifications below.
Tap Allow when Chrome asks.
That is it. You do not have to install anything.
Worth doing anyway: open the browser menu, the three dots, and choose Add to Home screen. It opens in one tap and the alerts arrive more reliably.
If you said No once, it stops asking
Browsers only ask the once. If you tapped No, or swiped the box away, the button will look like it does nothing. You have to turn it back on yourself.
On iPhone
Settings, Notifications, scroll to Bagels, turn on Allow Notifications.
On Android
Press and hold the Bagels icon, tap App info, then Notifications, and turn them on. If you never installed it, open Chrome, tap the three dots, Settings, Site settings, Notifications, and find this site.
Also worth checking
Focus or Do Not Disturb on iPhone, and Battery saver on Android, both hold notifications back quietly.
That is it
We just sent you a test one. If it did not appear, tap Still not working below.
Put the league on your home screen
One tap to open, and it lets match alerts reach you.
Put somebody on the court
They take the spot straight away, and they get told. If they cannot make it, they can hand the spot back.
